Driving to the south-west
of Florence we will reach Bolgheri: here is where Marquis Mario
Incisa della Rocchetta already in 1944 planted vineyards of
Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, vines that did not belong
to the Tuscan tradition. Starting in 1970s his wine Sassicaia
has become a true legend and today there are about fifty producers
who here create some of the most famous wines in the world,
with grapes from Merlot to Syrah, from Cabernet Sauvignon to
Cabernet Franc, from Petit Verdot to Sangiovese.
During this tour we will visit a farm, its vineyards and also
we will stroll around the charming ancient village of Bolgheri.
